Gentarou Sano was born into a wealthy family in Tokyo, Japan. His father was a successful businessman who owned several companies, and his mother was a stay-at-home mom who took care of the household. Growing up, Gentarou was always fascinated by the world of Air Gear, a popular extreme sports activity that involved riding on specially designed roller skates.
